There are many ways to organize a book of quotations. Some go by contributor; most go by individual subject; others, like this one, go by general subject. Twenty three chapters divide this collection into such categories as marriage, graduation, parenthood, home, children, loss and death, illness, adventure, and more. Often a quote you’ll find in one chapter could just as easily fit into another. As you glance through the quotes, searching for just the right one, you will sometimes see a single slash (/) and sometimes a double (//). A single slash designates a line break and occurs most frequently with poems and song lyrics. A double slash signifies either a verse break, if a poem; a paragraph break in prose; or, in plays, a different character speaking. [download]
